Team KID is our Wednesday night program for all  kids from 2nd-6th grade.  We play games, learn     about Jesus, and discover all that God will do in a kid’s life.  The KID in Team KID stands for Kids   In Discipleship.  That’s what we all are, people who are following Jesus!

Students on Fire!*

Students on Fire is our ongoing worship, ministry, and fellowship group for stud0288_sign_lookup_skater_christian_clipartents who want to learn how to chase after Jesus.  Although we meet primarily on Wednesday nights, we also minister and hang out periodically throughout the year.  If you are a 7th-12th grader, check us out.

* Parents – don’t worry no one is actually on fire.  We are just excited to be used by Jesus!

Ladies! Come each month to our Ladies’ Tea!  Get involved as we spend time together in prayer, we plan events, and we prepare to walk closer with Jesus. Come on the last Sunday of every month at 5 PM to be encouraged to walk with Jesus deeper!

 Men!  Pastor John hosts Iron Sharpens Iron fellowships on the second Tuesday of the month from 7-9 AM at church.  It’s all about Christian fellowship, lifting one another up in prayer, coffee, juice, and biscuits and gravy.  Come and be encouraged together!

The Baptist Convention of Iowa is a mission partner of Calvary Baptist Church.  Their mission statement is: The Baptist Convention of Iowa exists under the Lordship of Jesus Christ to assist and encourage local congregations in the fulfillment of their Biblical Mission, and to promote fellowship and cooperation among them.

Lifeway Christian Resources is a great tool for anyone looking for Bible study materials for personal or group use.  They are the publishing and resource ministry of the Southern Baptist Convention.

This ministry of the Southern Baptist Convention helps churches to share the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout America.  Their mission is  “to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, start New Testament congregations, minister to persons in the name of Christ, and assist churches in the United States, Canada and U.S. territories…”
